With a career spanning more than 35 years, he has developed a professional profile in the field of music, advertising, audiovisual content and audio production in various areas: as a recording and mixing engineer, Dolby Atmos immersive audio mixing engineer, certified by the Dolby Institute , sound engineer for musical shows, as well as in the field of configuration and operation of sound systems in a wide spectrum of applications.

On tour as a keyboard player

In the 80's he toured the main cities of the country as a keyboardist for groups such as "Vira, Vira Show", "Obsesión", "Los Espías" and "Asfalto" among others, with stints in different bars in the country among which stand out: Freedom (Querétaro, Morelia, Puebla, Tampico, Cuernavaca and Mexico City), Hard Rock Café (Acapulco, Cancún, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City), Grillos, Sixties and La Resaca, among the most notable.

During this period as a keyboardist he also accompanied relevant artists of the Mexican music scene in the 90s, such as Paty Manterola, Pilar Montenegro, Mónica Naranjo, Enrique Iglesias, among others.

Music Producer

From the late 90s to the mid-2000s, Rodrigo Mora Toraya collaborated on projects for the company Conceptos Televisa, producing artists and groups such as Garibaldi, Kabah, Enrique Iglesias, MDO, Mónica Naranjo, Mestizo, Chicos del Boulevard, Trio Macarenas, Curvas Peligrosas, Liz Clapés and artists from the Sony Music portfolio.

Ictus Productions

In 2001, Producciones Ictus began operations in Mexico City. This recording and post-production studio has specialized in the production of recordings, advertising campaigns, jingles, musical arrangements, recording, digital editing, mastering, live sound, workshops, classes and audio seminars, among many other projects within the music and audio industry.

Keyboardist, producer and founder of the ethno-jazz fusion group "Xamán"

Xamán is a Mexican ethno-jazz fusion group that mixes Afro-Caribbean rhythms with Mesoamerican instruments. Their musical approach includes a wide range of Latin rhythms (Afro-Antillean, Jamaican and Colombian, among others) from which new combinations are created, taking elements from folk music, jazz and rock, and using Mesoamerican instruments to give the compositions color, atmosphere and rhythm.

Currently Xamán is made up of Emmanuel Mora on guitar, Alejandro Mora on bass, who are the main composers, Rodrigo Mora on keyboard, arrangements and live production and Rigoberto Pech on drums.

This musical project has 5 record productions that have managed to reach the top of the Top Jazz sales list of the former Tower Records chain, and which are now available on digital music platforms.

With more than 35 years of experience working for various artists including: Randy Brecker, John Nugent Quartet, Antonio Sánchez (Pat Matheny Group) Gualberto Castro, Etéreojam, Circo Intergaláctico, Emmanuel Mora Trío, Jazz Bop Trio, Xamán, as well as in various jazz, rock and different commercial artist festivals, in addition to protocol events.

As a trainer, he has taught courses on audio recording, digital audio and MIDI systems for different institutions such as UNAM, UAC, UNID, among others.
